I took an introduction to computer graphics course during my Freshman year at Albright College because I didn’t want to lose touch of my graphic side and because I needed to take it to be able to take more advanced design courses. In addition, this class also had a focus on Photoshop, so it allowed me to become more proficient in the software. My favorite projects from this class are below.
Logo Design
For this project I had to create a logo design based on a made up company; I chose to recreate the one I’d made during my time at CTC (see my Digital Design and Printing Methods portfolio to see the original). For this assignment we had to show the process for creating the logo, from the outline stage, to creating a monochrome basic design, to adding actual color, to the final detailed design. We also had to explain the design elements.

Ad Design
For this project I had to create three advertisements using Photoshop. They could be anything, but they had to be in Photoshop. I came up with my ideas while looking at quotes, and while playing with tools in the application, such as type and the drawing tool.

Triptychs
For this project I had to take photos of something from different angles, then edit the photos in Photoshop, and then place them next to each other to show how they connect.
